Djordi Komrij

Djordi Komrij (1999) is a queer multidisciplinary artist whose work mainly revolves around encapsulating traces that people leave behind. How do we perceive the space around us and the people in it? How does body store and recollect memories?

The transformative nature of elements such as the warping of air around a flame serves as a source of inspiration for his approach to making. Creating landscapes with sculptures, photos and paintings, Djordi attempts to reconsider in which ways our presence lingers when we’re no longer here. Ultimately pursuing a broader comprehension about the very nature of being.

A reflective instrument used to register traces that we cannot see. To bring attention to the little things we don’t usually notice.
